Attending events are very important for you and your team. Hopefully you have decided to become a leader and understand the importance of bringing as many people as possible to events.
This year I was fortunate to be asked to speak at the event. Here you can see me on stage .
Did you know that each person you bring to an event will make you USD1,000 in commissions?
That's what the statistics say and I'm sure it's MORE. This weekend I'm bringing 10 people to my company's event. You do the math.
I still remember everything from my company event in May.
I remember we were excited and enthusiastic before leaving home
I remember the nice, skilled and positive people we met
I remember all the amazing help and advice we got from the speakers and the leaders on stage, and the people we connected with during lunch
I remember how inspired we were when we drove home. Have you noticed that motivation only last for a short period and inspiration last much longer?
I remember that my team got a lot of new customers the week after the event. In fact it was our best week to date.
I remember that when I came home, I decided that I will participate on all future events.
Your friends may listen to other people – not you
It might come as a surprise, but your friends may listen more to other people than to you. You have a history with your friends which might not make you an authority in the business. That's why you want them to come to an event and listen to people on stage.
Be unreasonable when inviting
Ahead of an event you need to call your team-members, not text them. They will have a lot of objections to attending, so you just have to be firm with them and say “-What do we have to do to get you to the event?”.
Never leave an event without planning the next
Your team will be heading home very soon after the event, but make sure you get a few minutes with all of them to agree on prospecting meetings the next two weeks. They will be inspired to succeed and you want to leverage on this immediately.
Make sure you listen to Eric Worre regarding the importance of attending events. I'm actually attending a private event with Eric Worre in November 2015!
