Are you posting pictures of your products on Facebook? Are you trying to recruit your friends to your business using Facebook only?
Are you constantly telling friends to private message (PM) you to test your amazing product?
You may think that what you do is successful, but it's not.
Here are nine steps that will make a huge difference.
Make sure you read all to the end, because I will ask you a serious question that you need to answer. A question about you being an authority in your niche and committing to your business long term.
How can you benefit twice from all the users on Facebook?
I will answer the question in this article.
I have seen what the most successful people on Facebook do, and don't do, and I wanted to share it with you.
My main goal is for you to succeed in your business.
NEVER DO THE FOLLOWING ON FACEBOOK:
These actions will hurt your business. You may not be aware of it, but they do. Many people have failed doing exactly this.
If you haven't already noticed people will troll your posts and make trouble so you stop bugging them once and for all
1. Never invite your friends on Facebook to join your company.
Never put a call to action in your cover photo or profile photo/bio. PM me for more info, click here to test my product etc.
Never put your company name in your name. Have you noticed that people name themselves Susan “companyname” Johnson? Would you ever put the name of your day job in your name?
Never post articles to join
Never send a PM asking friends to join
Never publish your company's commercial on your own or other friends' wall.
NO CALL TO ACTION ANYWHERE on Facebook
2. Do not post links with
– Not on your page or other pages
– Don't send PMs with links
3. No negative or controversial content
This might be difficult for you. Especially when you really feel that you have to stand up with your opinion.
I'm not saying you shouldn't, I'm saying it will hurt your business.
NO: Race, divorce, politics, your ex, complains
YES: Positive, refreshing
4. No crude language or rude humor
This includes at least abortion, refugees, gun law, political candidates
What to do on Facebook that really works
1. Profile picture
Happy, consistent (if you change all the time people will not recognize you), a solid professional picture, look like a nice person, sparkle, eyes should shine, show teeth, put on makup, make your hair, be awesome, inviting, welcoming. You may consider having a professional photographer to do the picture.
2. Your bio
About you, interest, a person who like to help others, travel the world, spending time with special friends
3. Identify your top five interests
Mine are Snowboarding, travelling, entrepreneurship, diving and electric cars.
What are yours?
Ask people about their opinion to create positive engagement.
“- I bet my team wins 3-1 on Sunday. What is your bet?”
Make your friends part of your persona.
4. Post on your five interests
By doing that you will always contribute to the marketplace with your knowledge and get acknowledgement in return.
5. Join interest groups
There are groups for everything on Facebook. Join them and establish a relationship with the other members.
6. Your friends interest people (and your other friends)
Have you heard the term “Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are”.
People who are checking you out will also check your friends before they make up their mind about you.
7. Like, comment and share positive engagement with your prospects
Be honest. Do it with interesting posts, not posts that are in the DO NOT DO THIS CATEGORY.
Turn ON NOTIFICATIONS to make sure you see everything the person you are prospecting posts.
Build a relationship.
8. Posts you should do
– Photos. FB likes photos. Put a caption on the picture to create engagement. “We will crush Liverpool”.
– Videos. FB likes videos
– Business (subtile) Do NOT mention your company.
Examples of what works:
– I hate traffic jams. I'm glad I don't have it anymore.
– I love to help my business friends to get more customers.
– I love helping people achieve their dreams.
– I love the fact that I can drive kids to school every day now that I run my business from home. Make a video of kids singing a song on the way to school.
– I get to walk/travel with my wife and kids because we work together in our business.
– I traveled to xxxx to spend the week with 1234 other Entrepreneurs to learn how to become successful in business.
– Being happy
This will happen in two ways
They will message you and ask how you achieved the benefits that you have posted. People will contact you because they want to have the same benefits.
Contact them PRIVATE when you have established a good relationship. Start by giving them credit. Offer to help them with helping them. Ask them if they would like to have a look at what you can offer that may help them. To have a look at your idea. Agree to take a coffee or invite them to one of your webinars.
