Every now and then we are approached by friends and others about their opportunity.
This happened me this week and it was the worst invite ever. I think she broke all the rules on how to invite and have any chance of a successful outcome.
She never told me her story. Have you noticed that people telling stories are the ones that attract the most attention? Stories are what people remember and makes us relate to the person telling the story. For me it was not very tempting to look at something that I did not know why my friend joined and how her journey had been.
She never focused on the benefits of the product. Instead she went straight into the business side of the company. I don't know about you, but I need to know and try a product for some time before I feel confident that I can recommend it to my friends.
She never got my acceptance to send me information. You need to get a person's acceptance before you send information. If you don't have this acceptance, do NOT send information. You will be perceived as desperate, spam and you don't qualify your prospect as you should.
She made me see that I was only one out of many. I had not said yes to have a look at the product, the business and at least not to a webinar. She forwarded a webinar invitation which was forwarded to a lot of people already. I was just one out of many and when I replied to her that the invitation may not be intended for me, she replied that it was a gift from her to me. A gift?
If this person is able to invite only one person to look at her product or business, I can guarantee you that if she had done a proper invitation the number would be at least 10 times higher. Imagine the difference over a period of two or three years.

If you use these two methods, you will successfully invite a lot of people to look at your business.
Learn from the mistakes mentioned in this blogpost and you will do the whole Network Marketing business a favor. It is people like my friend which makes people upset and tired of being invited to look at products and opportunities in the Network Marketing business.
