It's a fact that network marketing is a difficult industry to find success in. In today's article I want to warn you of the top 5 ways on how to fail in your network marketing business so you can learn from them and avoid them.
In spite of all the challenges network marketers are faced with, there are still countless individuals
that are able to break through the many barriers that present themselves and find financial freedom!
You probably have been told a few ways that you could succeed at network marketing, but here are five sure-fire ways to fail at your new business venture.
1. By only marketing your business online.
It's no secret that we are living in a digital age, times are changing and the way businesses grow is constantly evolving. However, to market your business online only would be committing network marketing suicide!
You will find your friends lists growing smaller each and every day and suddenly the updates of your success will become like white-noise to the few people that stay connected to you on social media.
What's even worse yet, your social media accounts may get reported as spam and your profile could
get deleted if you post too frequently! This doesn't mean you shouldn't share your
excitement and successes on social media — you should.
It simply means you need to start looking outside the box more. Order business cards, get car magnets, invest in apparel that advertises your business. Everywhere you go, there are people that are looking for opportunities to find financial freedom.

2. By giving up within your first three months.
At first – telling yourself you will try hard for 30, 60 or 90 days may seem like you are giving network marketing a fair shot, but did you know that most network marketers quit within their first 90 days and never even recover the cost of their initial business investment?
If you truly want to build momentum and succeed at network marketing, you need to make consistent, daily efforts in marketing your business for at minimum three months, but likely much longer.
3. By not setting a schedule.
Many successful network marketers agree that setting a daily schedule for their
business venture is what sets them apart.
You don't have to be overly stringent in your schedule but you do need to pay attention to what time of day your energy level spikes and plan to work your business during that time.
When you become your own boss it can be tempting to take breaks or use your favorite part of the day to indulge in activities a typical 9-5 job wouldn't allow, but making that mistake early on could likely be the final nail in the coffin of your network marketing business!
4. By creating the wrong type of business plan.
If you've spent any time in large corporations, you probably have been in more than a few meetings where upper management reveals their business plan to the rest of the company. Typically, the person conducting the meeting will show you financial facts and figures.
There is nothing wrong with creating financial goals, but the reason corporations have the power to project financial growth is because they typically have years of data behind them which they are able to successfully analyze and project the company's future from.
When you are starting in network marketing, your business needs to be based around action steps, not financial goals. You should have a yearly business plan that can be broken down into monthly, weekly and daily action steps.
Make it a goal to post x number of status updates a week, shake x number of hands a week, directly call or email x number of businesses a week.
When your goals are measurable, more often than not, success will come!
5. By marketing your business so much you get burnt out.
Yes, you need to work towards building a thriving business each and every day. This
doesn't mean that you should spend 8 or more hours each day marketing your business.
Break up your work into bite size pieces and realize that starting any new business is a marathon, not a sprint! If you can invest a small amount of your time and energy into your business each day, eventually you are going to find success and you will be able to survive the burnout so many network marketers face early on in their career!
Regardless of what product or service you are marketing, you can experience a level of success when you take the right steps and leave out the numerous wrong ones!
